Brief Profile of Prof. Dr. Sudhir Gavhane, Former Vice-Chancellor & Media Educationist
Prof. Dr. Sudhir Gavhane is highly experienced media educator serving since last four decades in the capacity of the
Vice-Chancellor of two universities, Dean & Director, Director General ( Academics), popular university teacher , Professor & Head -University Department, Quality Assessor of NAAC and many other higher education leadership positions from time to time.
He was former & founding
Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s MGM University , Aurangabad, Maharashtra and was also firmer VC of Yeshwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University ( YCMOU) , Nashik. At reputed MIT-World Peace University , Pune he contributed his services as the Dean -Director of Liberal Arts, Science & Commerce. He is prolific writer and write innumerable articles and reports in newspapers, journals and magazines. He is Quality Assessor of higher education institutions ( HEIs) and visited more than 80 colleges & universities as the Chairman, member coordinator & member of Peer Team during last two decades. As many as 15 Ph. D. research scholars and 10 M. Phil. researchers have successfully completed Ph. D. and M. Phil. under his supervision. Prof. Gavhane is associated with many international/ national academic Associations. He has earned reputation as the acclaimed academician and passionate higher education leader from South Asia.
He is instrumental in developing 200 acres of “Wasteland into Fruit-land “ of Dr. Ambedkar Marathwada University in the capacity of chairman , Campus Development Committee creating an Oxygen Hub for Aurangabad city.
With his ideation he has established High tech Digital Studio in his University Department at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Maharashtra. He is recipient of many International awards as well as Honorary D. Litt. from Jeoge Washingatan University of Peace , USA and Honorary Doctorate from Swiss School of Business & Management, Geneva, Switzerland and International Academic Leadership Award by Unicaribbean Businees School , from Africa continent.

I assumed charge of institution Head and Dean , Liberal Arts, Science and
Commerce on 1 st June 2017 , under the dynamic leadership of Executive
President and Pro-Chancellor of MIT-WPU MR. Rahul Karad. I joined this
organisation just because of him and an opportunity given by him.During last
one year period I tried to the best of my capacities to perform and deliver as per
and beyond expectations of EP Sir and Pro-Chancellor.
