Youth Development and Student -Centric Activities
Worked as the Director, Student Welfare for four years and during this tenure
many innovative programmes in youth development were successfully
developed and managed. Such as Central Youth Festival, Cultural Festivals.
Communication Skill Workshps, Theatre workshops, Environmental
Education workshops, Gender equality workshops, Writers workshops
Successfully organized Entrepreneurship Developmet Workshop for students
with colloboration of Maharashtra Council for Enterpreneurship Development.
Developed and expanded “Earn and Learn Scheme” by way of developing
Dr. BAMU model of youth welfare with activities such as file making unit,
envelop making unit, photocoping unit, medicinal plants unit, pad making unit,
STD booth and agricultural development and nursury. The income of Earn and
Learn Scheme increased by 100 times.
Started publication of Student Literary Magazine named as “Parivartan” and
published more than 12 issues with the contribution of student editors.
Research Paper Presentation Competation for students to develop their stage
courage and research skills. Research Papers are published in the book form.
Started a system of organizing workshop for college students council’s office

bearers conference every year on 12th January on the eve of Swami
Vivekanand Birth Anniversary on the theam of Youth Leadership.
In Earn and Learn Scheme along with the boys admisssion to girl students was
started and the number of benefiaries increased from 150 to 400. Thus this is a
inclusive higher education best practice started by Dr. BAMU.
Started student library in the Department and at the hostels for developing
academic culture in the university.
Technical Skills
Adopted and implimented new technologies and information communication
technologies (ICT) in Dr. BAMU as the chairperson of the computerization
committee. Developed intranet in Dr. BAMU by optical fibre lines.
Developed a concept of WEB CHANNEL for students of Journalism from all
over the world.
Develped a concept of WEB NEWSPAPER “ACCO” i.e. Aurangabad
College Campus Online.
High Defination Digital Studio project planned and got sanctioned from Govt.
of Maharashtra costing 5crores and 36 lakhs for developing Television, Radio
and E-learning environment.
Planed to establish school of e-learning in YCMOU and developing virtual
learning centres at every district and every sub-center with the help of
Ministry of HRD’s Mission. National Mission on ICT Application in Higher
Education. Planning to establish 1800 centers at verious sub-centers of
university in all parts of Maharashtra.
YCMOU E-governance model for university administration is undertaken to
impliment within 3 months.
Managerial Skills
Prepared a vision document of YCMOU for next 20 years and every school of
the YCMOU presented their future plans and accordingly planning of
establishment of new schools, new programmes is undertaken. The planning
Board, Academic Council and Board of Mangement have approved this
roadmap of YCMOU 2009-2029.
For resource generation I have established two decade Development Fund for
undertaking development and academic activities and target of the fund is to
generate 5 crore rupees within next one year.
Micro finance Management scheme of arranging university receipts of fees in
a systematic manner by adoption of core and e-banking system. The method of
everyday fixed deposit of 30% of the cash receipts for period of 90 days is
adopted. Alongwith this liquid fixed deposit concept was adopted to have a
short term fixed deposits of 7 days to 1 month. Because of this micro financial
management university earnings on interest are increased by 3 to 4%. This will
result in earning 25 lakhs more in terms of interest.
For two decade development fund 3% contribution from every bill of payment
of examiners, writers, venders, suppliers started. This will give every year 3
crore rupees additional income to university.
Alignment with Corporate Objectives and State/National Level Priorities
Identified needs of the communities which are deprived and excluded from
higher education such as scheduled tribes and scheduled cast and women. A
special plan of Inclusive Higher Education Initiative for Tribals in
Maharashtra is planned by developing state of the art ICT based education
complex, hostels for tribal girls and students in view to mainstream them in
higher education and inclusive development. The project is to be implemented
in 15 districts of Maharashtra with the help fo Tribal Development Ministries
of State and Central Government.
Planed to establish new schools in YCMOU in the capacity of Vice-Chancellor
and principally sanctioned by the planning board and BOM to follow the 11th
five year plan and national goals such as School of Social Justice, School of
Rural Technology and Rural Development, School of Tribal Studies, School of
Women and Child Development.
Interpersonal Communication and Collabarative Skills
As a Teacher of Mass Communication and Journalism since last 26 years I am
expertise in interpersonal and group communication skills. I can establish good
rapo and can work an intract effecively, persuasively with a strong knowledge
based expression in Marathi, English and Hindi. I have strong ability to write in
Marathi, English and Hindi and experience of preparing plans of the projects. I
have also skills to persuate and get sanctioned proposals for various Government
and other funding agencies. I also posses oratary skills and speech
communication expertise which helps me in inspring and motivating university
faculty, staff and students. Open and intractive approach with faculty, staff and
students gives me best results in the university development projects.
Innovative Experiments in Higher Education
Developed 141 acres of west land into Horticulture Project with plantation
7215 horticulture plants successfully at Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada
University, Aurangabad.
Developed Earn & Learn Scheme for poor boys/girls in multi-dimensional
ways by introducing File Making Unit, Envelop Making Unit, Pad Making
Unit, Photocopying Unit.
Designed & developed Printing Technology Development at Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad.
